Description

Ceramic Lightning, yellow sealed bearings are specially designed for off-road or excessively dirty operating environments. These bearings are maintenance free and lubed for the life of the bearing. The heavy duty rubber seal provides extra protection against the harshest elements. These bearings have ceramic balls, with stainless steel races and retainers. Ceramic hybrids are lighter, capable of achieving higher RPMÆs and sustaining higher operating temperatures than traditional bearings. Bearings that are packed in grease will require a short break in period to loosen up. Grease can be removed before shipping upon request. (4x7x2.5)MM

    One of my heavily used reels had the roller bearing seize up from corrosion. I use it on my kayak a lot in the salt and the roller bearings are very exposed to the environment. I measured it and found this size to be a good replacement that should hold up to the salt water environment. (I later found the reels bearing page by using Boca's bearing search website tool.) This bearing isn't listed for Fishing, but I think it will do the job just fine since they are corrosion resistant, lubed for life and says for the harshest environments which is like sand and salt water.

    I installed 2 of these in the new daiwa 100 that just came out. These replaced the plastic bushings that sit on either side of the worm gear line guide. Works better! Going to order 2 more for the new daiwa 150.
